1 Corinthians 9:24-25 NIV
[24] Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. [25] Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
If I want to be exceptionally good at let's say a saxophone, I will have to train minimum of an hour daily. Yes! Daily.
I have trained my system such that every Saturday night I will be awake for like 5 hours. Not only Saturday night but most of the nights. If I rest 4 hours, maximum 4 and 1/2 hours something will get me up. Be willing to pay the price. The fact that you did something, and did not get the desired result, don't stop there, put in some more energy. Find out why it didn't work and take the next step for it to work. You must have endurance.
Isaiah 40:30 NIV
[30] Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
You must have patience as one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
You want to know the price for speed, do want speed in your life? The scripture says that even those that are supposed to be very strong can also become weary, they can become inconsistent. But if you can wait, if you can be patient- the price for speed is patience. If it is not working, stay on it and be patient. They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. That is speed. He gives you wings as an Eagle. When you are not ready to wait, you will run where you are not supposed to run. If you are not patient, you will walk, run, and you will faint. But when you wait and God gives you direction, you will not fly.
If what you are doing does not connect to who you want to be in the future, make an arrangement and disconnect yourself. Find out who you are supposed to be and what you are supposed to be doing. I have settled on what I am doing, and I am giving it my best. Decide the version of you that you want to see in the year 2030. What is that version? Begin to work towards it. Prayer alone will not take you there. There is a place for work.
